Shelt Network

Shelt network

uk based web design network

Shelt Network is the mothership behind a variety of popular websites around the web. We design, create and own various themed UK based websites. You can see our network of websites in the gallery on the right.

Brief history

Shelt Network originally started in 1998 as a general chat website named ChooseaChat.com. Chatting online was one of the most popular things to do online in the late 90's, so our directors decided to create 'Choose a Chat' - a website that allowed users to do just that, select from various chat rooms to have a natter in.

With the site picking up month by month the directors began doing some research. Concluding that the adult industry was and is the most popular industry in the world, so we took the decision to make ChooseaChat.com an adult only site. Sure enough the site grew and grew and over 11 years later the website is still going strong.

We now have FootballFilms.co.uk, a Football (Soccer) website to add to our portfolio, users submit their own football footage and share with friends. Along with this, we have a wedding directory site, IdoWedo.co.uk, a site where visitors can find everything possible for their wedding, all on one website.

Our latest development is SHELT. An adult greeting card company, see below for news updates on SHELT.

Upcoming changes

changes in the pipeline

December, 2009 - We plan to launch the delayed 'myCAC' the social networking side of ChooseaChat.com. Originally MyCAC should have been released in October with the new ChooseaChat.com but due to a large work load this has been delayed until December.

Early, 2010 - We hope to finally launch SHELT, our adult greeting card website. The team are currently busy working on unique design idea's, not to mention working really hard on existing projects. Stay tuned for updates.

Summer, 2010 - We have seo and administration changes planned for FootballFilms.co.uk in the summer of 2010. If we manage to clear enough project work we may also schedule a design change.
